Where can I use and store my Ooni Volt?Updated 7 months ago
You can use your Ooni Volt 12 indoors as well as outdoors. Give the oven lots
of room and place it on a clean, flat, solid, stable and heat-resistant
surface close to a power outlet, and remember to set your Ooni Volt 12 a
couple of finger-widths back from the edge, so the door can open easily.
Remove any nearby flammable objects and materials, including tablecloths.
**Note** : Be sure to check with the manufacturer of the surface you plan to
use your Volt 12 on as the product can get hot during use; if needed, make
sure to place the oven on a heat-resistant surface or use a trivet or heat-
resistant pad.
Similar to a toaster or kettle, make sure there is space around the product to
allow for safe operation. Enough space should be left to access the ON/OFF
switch on the right-hand side. The area above the oven should be clear. Do not
place inside an enclosed space.
When using the oven outdoors, we recommend the medium or large [Ooni Modular
Table](https://ooni.com/search?type=product&q=modular*). Refrain from putting
it on a glass or plastic table.
When using outdoors, please make sure that your weatherproof extension cable
is properly grounded and rated for the oven's power supply. Extension cables
that include electrical safety devices like RCDs or GFCIs are ideal. It should
be brought inside to be stored in a dry place between uses.
When the oven is completely cooled and turned off, store it in a cool and dry
place indoors. Do not store it on its side.
Please note that Ooni Volt should not be used above 3000m sea level.
