Find a clean, flat, solid, stable and heat-resistant surface for your Ooni

Volt 12. Clear the space before moving your oven into position. Remove any

flammable objects and materials, including tablecloths.

**Note:** Be sure to check with the manufacturer of the surface you plan to

use your Volt 12 on as the product can get hot during use; if needed, make

sure to place the oven on a heat-resistant surface or use a trivet or heat-

resistant pad.

Just like a toaster or kettle, make sure there is space around the product to

allow for safe operation. Enough space should be left to access the ON/OFF

switch on the right-hand side.

The area above the oven should be generally clear. Do not place it inside an

enclosed space.

Think about ventilation when choosing a suitable place for your oven. Very

high cooking temperatures can sometimes cause food to burn, which can produce

smoke.

Make sure that the cable doesn't run under the oven or drape over the edge of

the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on or tripped over.

If you're using Ooni Volt 12 outdoors, we recommend using one of our [_Ooni

Tables_](https://ooni.com/search?type=product&q=table*) _._ Do not put your

Ooni Volt 12 on a glass or plastic table.
