My Ooni Koda 2 Max is producing lots of smoke/soot.Updated 7 months ago
## If using propane with your Ooni Koda 16, a small amount of smoke/soot can
be expected. Ooni Koda 2 Max has been designed to burn cleanly once it has
reached top temperatures, however propane will still naturally give off a
small amount of smoke/soot.
If using butane with your Koda 16, you can expect to see slightly more
smoke/soot than you would when using propane. Cleaning your Ooni with a dry
paper towel or rag once it has cooled is all it takes to remove this.
Avoid using too much flour when launching pizzas and remove any food that
falls onto the stone. Use an [oven brush](https://ooni.com/products/ooni-
pizza-oven-brush) to clean the stone between cooks.
