My Ooni Koda 16 isn’t getting hot enough after converting to natural gas.Updated 7 months ago
If your Ooni Koda 16 isn't getting hot enough after converting to natural gas,
follow the steps below. Note: these are instructions if you have installed the
[Natural Gas Conversion Kit](https://ooni.com/products/ooni-natural-gas-
conversion-kit?_pos=3&_sid=6547e4be5&_ss=r), not the Ooni Koda 16 Natural Gas
Line oven.
**Step 1. **Check that the correct nozzles have been installed - the nozzles
should have '1.75mm' imprinted on them.
**Step 2. **If the correct nozzles are present, make sure there are no leaks
in your gas hose by using a leak detector spray or by using soapy water (full
instructions on how to do a gas leak test
[here](https://ooni.kustomer.support/en_us/how-do-i-perform-a-gas-leak-test-
BJdijR_zj)).
**Step 3.** Make sure your infrared thermometer gun is set to the correct
emissivity level to ensure the correct temperature is recorded. Ooni infrared
thermometers are pre-set, so these will be accurate and cannot be adjusted. If
it's not an Ooni infrared thermometer gun, make sure the emissivity level is
set to 0.95. Make sure the infrared thermometer gun is held close enough when
recording the temperature. Hold it 6 inches (15cm) from the mouth of the oven.
