How do I perform a gas leak test?Updated 7 months ago

To perform a gas leak test, follow the steps below;

1\. Spray some leak detector spray around both connections of your gas hose.

This includes the connections at the gas bottle and at the oven or gas burner.

Note: If you don't have a leak detector spray, you can mix some dish soap with

water and apply this to your gas hose using either a sponge or a spray bottle.

2\. Turn your gas on, but don't ignite the oven. If you see bubbles forming

like the example below, you have a leak. If no bubbles appear, you don't have

a leak.

3\. If you have a leak, turn off the gas and secure the hose again. Look out

for cracks in the hose as this could be the source of the leak. Replace the

hose if needed and repeat the test until secure.
