**Step 1**** -** **Ensure the oven is off. **Make sure that the oven is in
the off position and that you've allowed 5 minutes for any gas to disperse.
**Step 2 - Position the lit match. **Wearing protective gloves, and with a
lit match on the end of the matchstick holder, position the match over the
burners at the left of the oven:
**Step 3 - Allow gas to flow.** Push in the control dial and rotate counter-
clockwise, the oven should light within a few seconds. Continue to hold in and
turn the dial until you hear the click of the sparker:
**Step 4 - Remove the matchstick holder**. Once the oven is lit remove the
matchstick holder, but continue to hold the dial for a total of 5 seconds
before releasing.
