How do I clean my Ooni Volt?Updated 7 months ago
Note: always wear protective gloves when handling and cleaning your oven.
**To clean the outside: **Let the oven cool down completely. Unplug it and
wipe it with a dry, non-abrasive cloth. If further cleaning is needed, you can
wipe with a slightly damp lint-free cloth. Ensure the surface is fully dry
before storing.
**To clean the inside:** Let the oven cool down completely, unplug it and
remove the stone. Wipe down the inside of your oven with a paper towel to
remove any residue then proceed to use a stainless steel cleaner (such as Bar
Keeper's Friend or Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner) to remove any baked-on food
residue or grease from the stainless steel parts of the oven. Avoid using
abrasive cleaning products and avoid cleaning the top and bottom heating
elements
**To clean the glass door:** Let the oven cool down completely. Start by
wiping down the glass with a dry paper towel. Available in the UK, the [Ooni
Glass Cleaner](https://uk.ooni.com/products/ooni-glass-
cleaner?_pos=1&_sid=07ce218ad&_ss=r) is perfect for this. Alternatively, mix a
solution of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water and wipe down with a rag. Let it
sit for 5 minutes. Then, use the coarse side of a sponge to clean the glass
with the solution. Rinse the glass with water. Use paper towels to dry the
glass completely.
**To clean the baking stone:** Let the oven cool down completely. You can use
a wire brush to sweep away excess debris on the stone, but be careful not to
hit the back of the oven. Flip your stone over and reinsert it for the next
cook. The heat from the oven will be enough to burn off any remaining residue.
Don't clean your stone with water as it will damage it.

_Don 't worry about your oven and stone changing colour - it's completely
normal and is the sign of a well-loved oven!_
