How do I attach and detach my gas hose?Updated 7 months ago

### ** ⚠ BEFORE YOU BEGIN:**

* #### Switch off the oven or gas burner and disconnect from any gas source


* #### Ensure that the device is completely cool


* #### Work on a clear surface in a low-dust workspace


* #### Ooni Koda 12 and Ooni Koda 16 should have the stone baking board removed. Collapse the oven's legs and then gently lay the oven upside-down on a soft surface to prevent any scratches or damage to the top shell


* #### **If you don 't feel comfortable performing any of the advice, we recommend you ask a local gas engineer to help**


### **⚠ WARNING:**

* #### Failure to follow all instructions could result in serious injury and/or property damage.


* #### Some parts may contain sharp edges. Wear protective gloves if necessary


* #### If you smell gas:


* #### Shut off the gas supply


* #### Extinguish any open flame


* #### If the smell persists, keep a safe distance and contact your local fire department


* #### Read and follow all safety instructions, assembly instructions and care instructions before attempting to assemble and cook.



## Attaching a gas hose

**Step 1:** Screw the brass connection onto the gas valve, then tighten by

hand.

**Step 2:** Secure the gas valve with a spanner while using a second to

tighten the brass connection by a quarter-turn.

**Step 2: **Hold the oven, and gently pull the hose off the barb**.****

**Note: **If you are finding it hard to remove the hose, you can soften it

using the hot air from a hairdryer. Always wear protective gloves when doing

this, as the metal can get hot.
