Can I use my Ooni Pro 16 in adverse weather?Updated 7 months ago
**Can I use my Ooni Pro 16 in the cold?**
* Yes - The Ooni Pro 16 can still be used in the cold, however, in colder climates and times of the year, the baking stone will take longer to heat up.
* Leaving ovens uncovered in cold/wet periods - can take longer to pre-heat.
We don't suggest using butane in cold weather as butane has a low freezing
point. If using your oven with the gas burner in cold weather, use propane.
**Can I use my Ooni Pro 16 in rain or snow? **
Yes - rain or snow won't affect the way your Ooni Pro 16 performs.
* If leaving your Ooni Pro 16 outside in wet weather, make sure you store it under a [carry cover](https://ooni.com/collections/oven-covers/products/ooni-pro-cover).
* Make sure you also place the chimney cap on your chimney to prevent rain or snow from entering your oven.
**Can I use my Ooni Pro 16 in windy conditions?**
* We don't advise using your Ooni Pro 16 in overly windy conditions.
* If wind is unavoidable, position your oven so that wind flows against the back of the oven (always avoid wind blowing directly into the front of your oven).
**Can I use my Ooni Pro 16 at high altitudes?**
* High altitudes may affect your oven's performance. You may notice lower gas pressure and weaker flames. If so, allow your oven a little bit longer to preheat.
* Due to this, the oven may not get to the advertised temperatures.
