How do I use the Ooni Karu 16 Pizza Door?Updated 7 months ago

To use your [Pizza Door for Karu 16](https://ooni.com/products/pizza-door-for-

karu-16?_pos=1&_sid=541921128&_ss=r) (compatible with the gas burner only),

follow the steps below:




**Step 1**. Set up your oven correctly


* Remove the chimney cap.


* Open the chimney baffle.


* Close the ceiling vent.


* Remove the fuel tray.


**Step 2**. Remove the glass door


* Using the Torx Key provided with your oven, remove the door hinge screw from the hinge block.


* Repeat on both sides.


* Carefully remove the glass door from the oven body.


**Step 3**. Attach the pizza door


* Ensure the door hook is correctly positioned over the door pins in the oven body.


* Fix the pizza door onto the oven body by screwing the two door hinge bolts and washers into the hinge blocks.


**Step 4**. Insert your [_Ooni Karu 16 Gas

* Remove the fuel hatch and draft defender plate.


* Insert your gas burner and secure the screws.


* The pizza door is compatible with the gas burner only. If cooking with solid fuels, use the glass door.


**Step 5**. Connect to your gas tank and ignite your oven


* Connect your regulator to your gas canister.


* Turn on the gas at the gas canister.


* Push in and turn the button counter-clockwise until it clicks. Do not turn too quickly. From press to click should take about 5 seconds. The oven should ignite after the click.


* Hold in button for 5 seconds, then release.


**Step 6** : Replace the fuel hatch and pre-heat


* Make sure the burner is lit.


* Replace the fuel hatch.


* Allow your oven to preheat for 35 minutes or until the centre of the stone reaches 800°F (425°C).
